Roberto Godinez, founder and CEO of Tizo’s Pops & Ice Cream, learned the trade at a very young age in Aguascalientes Mexico, his parents were pioneers and entrepreneurs in 1973 with the famous popsicles and ice cream shops:
“LA MICHOACANA” it was there where Roberto began to explore the colors, textures, flavors, and the multiple possibilities that the popsicle business offered him when he was just a child.
Roberto and his father visited Oklahoma City for a short stay in the 90’s, looking for new possibilities with another partner. It was then that they decided to establish what would be the first popsicle and ice cream shop in the state with a totally and absolutely Mexican flavor. It didn’t take many years for Roberto Godinez, his wife Martha Medina de Godinez and their children to make Oklahoma their home.
After 50 years of work, we write this with pride and gratitude, because thanks to the work of our family we have been able to open the way in a country not so far from our own. The hard work of Mr. Roberto Godinez, his wife Martha Medina de Godinez and their children, has left such solid foundations and strong bases that today we are still standing.
“Always until the end” said Mr. Roberto Godinez.
